Penny looks forward to helping each person discover how to be the best they can be, whatever or however each person defines as their best. She helps her clients work through a variety of issues in a way that is not judgmental and supports each person in meeting their own self-identified goals.
Penny specializes in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, grief, work related issues, emotional dysregulation issues, self-esteem, and behavioral disorders. While her background is in Early Childhood Education, she also works with adolescents and adults of all ages. Penny is completing play therapy certification and hopes to work toward becoming a play therapist in the future. She enjoys working with families and supporting parents in creating a supportive and healthy environment to help their children grow.
Penny is currently working toward obtaining full licensure in mental health counseling . Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is her primary approach, within it she utilizes a variety of techniques, such as psychotherapy, Person Centered therapy, dialectical behavioral techniques, and motivational interviewing, to best serve each individual and their needs.
